Commenter writes "My mother has so many narcissistic traits, and she also has a lot of friends and family, but it's because her personality changes depending on who she is with, she lies and gossips to create "connection". She even remains in contact with people who did bad things to her because she might need them for something some day. So for me #1 is not always appicable."
